community development campaign

MHI provides a bridge between social care initiatives and the arts. Musicheals works with musicians, writers, visual artists, and dance companies, (among other creative groups), to raise funds, build awareness for causes, and garner public support for social service organizations while helping them operate in a more effective, responsible and collaborative manner.

Our programs range from formulating multi-ethnic and cultural events that bridge economic and racial boundaries, to developing counseling and health programs for the community, and promoting and providing alternative initiatives for community healing and support.

Currently MHI's focus is on a 5 year, multi-city community development campaign that includes two major phases:

Phase 1 -  Raise support for a $15 million sliding-scale hospital facility with quality on-site mental and alternative healthcare,  built through a partnership with well-established community health clinics

Phase 2 - Open the doors of a low-income based credit union with a unique job placement unit for under-served and under-represented communities in Houston, Texas; Portland, Oregon; and Los Angeles, California.
